Why robotics is important?

Robotics field was developed with a view to enhance and support human efficiency and to reduce the repetitive human workload. Manufacturing industry has been utilizing the robotic capabilities since years now and have revolutionised the way manufacturing was done. Other industries are also realising the capabilities of robotics and are finding ways to improve their productivity through robots. Although a costly technology in present, robotic scientists are experimenting cheaper robots and soon they could be seen helping in households too.
