Photonics vs electronics
by SMEBOOK (admin) · June 23, 2020
Photonics technology works on the similar theory like electronics. The only difference being, photonics uses photons that are the particles of light as information carriers instead of using electrons as done in electronics. Both are dedicated to harnessing, processing and transmitting some sort of energy, through photons in case of photonics and electrons in case of electronics to generate usable information. Since photos travel at a much higher speed without any interference, photonics provides a much efficient medium of information transmission.
