Immersive technologies are broadly classified into three categories:
- Augmented Reality (AR): Here, virtual objects and information are overlaid on the actual world. This enhances the real world with digital specifics such as images and animation. You can enjoy the experience by wearing a AR glass.
- Virtual Reality (VR): In the VR experience users are completely immersed in a simulated digital environment through a VR headset which provides them with a 360 degree view of the artificial world.
- Mixed Reality (MR): In MR, real and digital world objects exist side by side and can interact with one another in actual time. It requires a MR headset and greater processing power than AR or VR.
