Augmented reality vs virtual reality

by SMEBOOK (admin) · March 11, 2020

Augmented reality (AR) is the augmentation of the real world objects by superimposition of virtual images. In simpler explanation - we experience AR when virtual objects are placed in the existing real environment. For instance, seeing a cup on your table through your phone camera when it is actually not there. Virtual reality (VR) is the creation of a completely virtual environment that cuts all (at least visual) interaction of the user with the real world. You can experience virtual reality simply by putting on a VR headset like Google Cardboard.
