The 3D printing process begins with creating a 3D digital model of the object under consideration using specialized CAD (computer-aided design) software packages. Once designing of the product is completed, the next phase of digital slicing of the model starts where the model is broken down into many layers. The different layers are sliced one-by-one by to capture each edge point of the object. Once slicing is completed, the data or object points are sent to the printer to print the final result.
