3D printing and Additive Manufacturing are the same or it would be more right to say they are synonyms. There exist no difference between them as both involve the same process of creating the object through layering method by addition of material i.e. a layer-based manufacturing process. Both are widely used for the mass productions of components as well as to make discrete objects that have complex structures.
