Permissioned— Access can be public or private, but verification or audit permission for a few only simplified compliance & data handling. e.g. Bank chain. Permissionless — Open source Public network, transparency with anonymity as no third-party involved, minimum costs with no need for maintenance. However, it results in slow processing for e.g. Bitcoin. Permissioned blockchains, on the other hand, are entirely the opposite of permissionless blockchain as they allow individual networks. They are not exposed to the public and claim permission from the owner or the admin to enter the network. This also indicates that the user also requires to do KYC before they join the system.
