The phase between research and successful innovation is widely known as the valley of death. Interestingly, researchers from both the pharmaceutical industry and academia are working in tandem, with support from governments, to cross the ‘valley’. This is crucial in bringing research to the market. With that in mind, many industries face this issue or succumb to the ‘valley of death'.
