by SMEBOOK (admin) · June 23, 2020

Optics is a sub branch of physics that involves the processing of visible light through optical instruments such as optical lenses, mirrors, prisms, beamsplitters, windows, and other such items are considered "optics". Photonics is the field of science primarily concerned with the generation, "manipulation", and transmission of information through the medium of light. Instruments like lasers, amplifiers, photodiodes, CCD/CMOS sensors, optical fibers, and all other such applied optical tools fall under Photonics.
