NLP vs speech recognition

by SMEBOOK (admin) · May 20, 2020

Both, speech recognition and natural language processing, are used in speech analytics, voice assistants, and automatic speech recognition engines but there exists a significant difference between them. Speech recognition is the ability of the computer application or software to recognize human speech as if anything is said by any person then the same will be recognized and captured by speech recognition software. But NLP is more extended and enhanced as it not only recognizes human speech but also understands the same, which further used by the software or application to take action. NPL accurately and precisely determines the context and intentions of the person.
