Genetic Engineering is a science dealing with genomic structures practiced under the field of Biotechnology. It is the process of genetic manipulation, reshuffling and restructuring of an organism's DNA and other nucleic acids. In different words, Genetic Engineering is the artificial alteration of an organism's genome performed with the purpose of modifying the organism's genetic behaviour. Such organisms are referred to as Genetically modified Organisms (GMO).
