Whereas, Biomedical Engineering as the name suggests is an amalgamation of Engineering and the field of medicine and biology, in order to achieve various healthcare, needs both therapeutic and diagnostic. Biomedical Engineering is thus an interdisciplinary field catering to the advancement of healthcare through engineering principals and techniques applied to drugs and biology. Various diagnostic equipment like MRIs, EEGs, etc. is a great example of Biomedical Engineering.
