Types of E-textiles

Most e-textile designs or fabrics follow the hybrid model where electronic elements implanted in the textile or fabric connected to classical electronic components. However, the range of e-textiles can be divided into two main types. First are the e-textiles with the classical electronic devices such as integrated circuits, conductors, LEDs, and conventional batteries embedded into the fabric. Second is where electronics elements are directly integrated into the fabric substrates which include either passive electronics such as resistors and conductors or active components like diodes, solar cells, and transistors.
