Textiles have always been in a human heart for thousands of years, and with crucial textile developments or inventions, it has shaped the world as well. The textile industry is now not merely a fabric or garment making industry rather it has created its strong roots into sports, defense, medical, or healthcare monitoring through the e-textile. The journey of e-textiles started at the end of the 19th century when people designers and engineers try to combine the electricity within clothing. In 1968, a relationship between apparel and electronics was shown in an exhibition called Body Covering held in the Museum of Contemporary Craft in New York City. And in 1985, an animated sweatshirt was developed by Harry Wainwright and in 1995 first machine enabling fiber optics was introduced by Wainwright. Since then the path is being laid and e-textile grew broader and stronger.
