Digital twins for buildings

by SMEBOOK (admin) · May 20, 2020

A digital twin is a stepped-up variant of BIM (Building Information Modeling). Drones, sensors, and other digital inputs are used to collect the building information, which is further gets updated into the digital model. This way visualization of the building becomes more accessible and inspection can be made efficiently. Digital twins provide greater insights into the building structure and associated equipment or assets. The same can be used in the modification process to assess the performance, thus making it a little easy to make decisions.
