by SMEBOOK (admin) · April 16, 2021

Blue economy is the commercial use of and conservation of aquatic resources like algae, mussels or jellyfish into a wide variety of products and services such food, feed, biobased materials and bioenergy. It is still a relatively new concept but it is driven by increasing interest, knowledge and technical developments. It aims to market the efficient utilisation of those biomass by-products through the up-concentration of nutrients and functional compounds while, at an equivalent time reducing waste.
