Algae is an essential resource as a raw material for a wide range of uses. Food supplements are made from shell components for people suffering from aging-associated problems such as stiffness, aches and lethargy. Products from the Blue economy include novel foods and food additives, animal feeds, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, materials, and energy, amog others.
