In 2021 the biotech sector will have a valuation at or above the one in late 2019. Pre-clinical work will be sturdy and clinical trials will be close to the volume of a year earlier. New biotech companies will raise required capital, and the number of IPOs will be similar to the figures in 2019. There will be a rise in M&A activity as large pharmaceutical companies acquire smaller companies.
