What are Biometrics?

Biometrics are the biological identifiers like finger prints, eye retina, facial features, etc. of an individual that distinguish one organism from other (particularly human). The use of technology to identify a person based on some their biological characteristics is called as Biometric technology. Finger print scan, retina scan, facial recognition all are different types of individual identifiers used in biometric technology.
